The Redwalls - Songs From Their Self Titled Album
I had never heard of The Redwalls, but I was fortunate enough to see them open for Rooney and The Polyphonic Spree in November. They were great and the couple of guys I met were really nice. They have been very influenced by 60s bands and musicians, especially The Beatles and Bob Dylan. They have a very different sound than many bands around today. It's like a little of The Beatles with a hint of Bob Dylan circa the twenty first century.

There are many bands out there that are heavily influenced by musicians like The Beatles and Bob Dylan, but they usually have a very different sound. The band seem to have picked out certain sounds that were used by those artists and have combined them with their unique modern sound, creating The Redwalls.
They have been around since 2003, but I don't think they have gotten as much attention as they deserve, considering how great they are.
So here are three songs off their latest release, a self titled album, which came out in October 0f 2007:
[MP3] The Redwalls - Hangman
[MP3] The Redwalls - Modern Diet
[MP3] The Redwalls - Put Us Down

The Wombats - Songs From "A Guide To Love, Loss and Desperation"
I recently got into The Wombats after becoming interested in them. I began seeing their name around a lot from people who liked bands like the Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys and some others. I fell in love with them so quickly. They are a three-piece from Liverpool, England. They met at a performing arts school that was founded by Paul McCartney. I love their debut album, "A Guide To Love, Loss and Desperation," which was released in the U.K. in November of 2007. As far as I know, it hasn't been released in the U.S., yet. But they have released a six-song EP, on a new record label, so lets hope they'll soon be able to officially release it here in the U.S.

Currently, amazon only carries four different imported versions of the album, the cheapest one is $21, so that's the one I posted the link for.
Here are some of the tracks off The Wombats' "A Guide To Love, Loss and Desperation"
[MP3] The Wombats - Kill The Director
[MP3] The Wombats - Moving To New York
[MP3] The Wombats - Let's Dance To Joy Division
